They bobbed against the glass, showing us their spotted bellies...and who doesn't love a good polka dot? This painting is the first watercolor I completed outside of my introductory class, and I was captivated by the colors and reflections of the water around them. The rounded mouths of the Koi are reaching up for the live baby shrimp that I dangled over their tank. They truly were hungry boys, and they splashed us as they clamored to get the next bite.
