Damn Abel, 8 x 12": Damn Abel was a fiesty rooster that tormented a dear friend of mine and his fellow farm-lifers from day one until his final sayonara. "I think he got roughed up by the others some and that's why he was so fucked up looking." Let's all raise a toast to one of the world's ugliest and orneriest roosters.
Flaca, 8 x 12": Flaca (Spanish for "skinny") was a friendly goat with killer lashes and a professional pose.
HoMOOCide, 8 x 12": This curious cow couldn't help but lean in to check out his visitors with a camera. His original tag was #24, but it was changed to #187 (the police code for homicide) to up his street cred in this series.
La Heifa, 8 x 12": La Jefa means "boss" in Spanish. This heifer had quite the stage presence. She was clearly the boss of her pasture. Thus, La Heifa (pronounced the same) was born.
Mail Fraud, 8 x 12": Sweet Sophie, seen holding an envelope with the dreaded window in it, was included only because of her guilty face and desire to stay keyed in. Sophie was a curious girl who greeted my farm friend regularly. Her crime was the need to pull the mail from the front cab of his truck each time saw him, and mail fraud IS a federal offense...
Bok This Way, 8 x 12": This handsome rooster had quite the strut. A leader in the making, for sure.
Mother Cluckers, 8 x 12": The moment my friend sent me a picture of these hens, all I could think was, "Backstreet Boys album cover!" Once I had recovered from the laughing, I realized the head hen, or mother clucker if you will, had her head cocked in a way that looked as though she was challenging me to say something. Clearly the gals in the back are her entourage. Try something. She dares you.
What Are Ewe Looking At? 8 x 12": This bushy girl was spied by a friend of mine on a trip to Colorado. The sunset made her wool glow golden, and the look on her face made it appear that she was just along for the ride.
